During the 1800s, Schiller Park was used as a village center for community events. The most intriguing part of Schiller Park is The Umbrella Girl Fountain and its history. The addition of The Umbrella Girl Fountain was to enhance the beauty of the park.

You will not want to miss, in my opinion, the best attraction in German Village. Schmidt’s 100% authentic German food is sure not to disappoint. They were established in 1886. They definitely have a very unique menu carrying all German cuisine from Schnitzel to Kraut.
